The role AVP Cyber Claim Analytics is responsible for the overall cyber analytics including providing leadership, integration and management of analytics functions to support our business partners and maximize the impact and effectiveness of the Chubb's Claims Cyber activity.

As Cyber claims and the Cyber industry continues to evolve, the duties and responsibilities of this role will similarly evolve and change according to the needs and requirements of the business. The role currently includes, but is not limited to, the following:
  • Develop, mentor and train junior data analytics team members. Serve as SME of ClaimSmart and ClaimConnect to ensure the accurate and timely presentation of data analytics to claims management and underwriting colleagues.
  • Timely identify, review for accuracy and collate Cyber Claims data required for quarter close and monthly meetings, in addition to ad hoc meetings, including:
    • Ransomware data
    • FNOL data
    • Claim type data
    • Subrogation data
    • Large Loss data
    • Business Interruption Loss data
    • Third party claims data
    • Large impact claims
  • Vendor management, including:
    • Timely preparation of vendor spend reporting
    • Integration of data between the claims systems and the billing systems
    • Assignment volume across panel firms
  • Coordinate and manage the data relative to method of intrusion to ensure accurate and timely information is provided.
  • Maintenance and ownership of Cyber Sharepoint site and develop similar site for use by claims team.
  • Timely and accurate updates to the Cyber Index.
  • Assist in the preparation of data for the Verizon DBIR submission and all other similar publications.
  • CAT Planning, including:
    • Review sufficiency of CAT plan every 6 months
    • Undertake CAT desktop exercise every 12 months
  • Define the data strategy and lead the design and implementation of a data analytics methodology, standards and tools to drive and facilitate successful delivery and create efficiencies in the claims data collection and verification processes with a goal of improving data quality and information being delivered to our business partners.
  • Lead Cyber Claims analytics projects from project scope to engagement with cross functional representation (underwriting, actuarial etc.) to drive execution of successful, deadline driven projects; project team members are involved throughout the entire project life-cycle and are expected to:
  • Proactive identification of each project's impact, risk, and dependencies
  • Ensure alignment of stakeholder objectives
  • Ensure enterprise-wide visibility and confidence in project status and timelines including status reporting
  • Communication of project details to, underwriting, claims, data analytics and actuary leadership
  • Assess cross-functional project team capability, provide coaching, training and support to enhance the Chubb's project/program management capability, and improve collaborative development and project results
  • Manage interdependencies and coordination across analytics projects to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders and that key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated
  • Communication, collection and presentation of cyber data and statistics including analyzing and summarizing data in order to input data into various systems for internal and external use
  • Problem solve operational areas to create efficiencies in data collection and delivery for various claims and underwriting systems and processes


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-10+ years' relevant work experience
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • High detail orientation with the ability to see the big picture
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage time to prioritize the requirements of the Cyber Claims Department
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills; able to prioritize and manage many simultaneous tasks and priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with cross-functional and remote teams, at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to influence people and resources to ensure timely completion of tasks that meet quality standards
  • Willingness to adhere to established processes while keeping an eye for opportunities to improve or develop processes, structures, and systems
  • Experience managing and motivating others
  • Claims or Business Analytics background strongly preferred; Technical Cyber Experience is a plus
