Lead the team to deliver robust actuarial analysis under various financial reporting measures, manage the risks underlying the business, in a timely manner with high quality. Anticipate the need of relevant stakeholders and propose solutions to various business challenges. Lead positive changes to the various processes to enhance team efficiency. In particular, the incumbent will support business development initiatives for the company to deliver its health business aspiration.

Job Description:

  • Propose financial engineering mechanism; develop new pricing and new financial strategy; ensure appropriate analysis for product approval and feasibility study during the course of product development. Monitor profitability / sustainability and performing risk / financial analysis.
  • Coordinate with local management team, regional office, distribution channels and other internal departments on various product development projects in order to align with the company's project initiatives; Revamp existing product initiatives and ensure the approval process and needs are met for production and channels; Provide analysis and solution for the management team.
  • Supervise subordinates within the team and provide on-going coaching on actuarial / product / insurance knowledge. Provide on-going coaching to staffs. Challenge status quo and drive changes to increase work efficiency of the team.
  • Ensure the product and pricing process comply with regulations and internal governance; assess the implication to pricing on any change in reporting basis, modeling assumption, investment strategy and get all relevant approvals from both internal and external parties.


Job Requirements:

  • University graduate majoring in Actuarial Science or related curriculum
  • Fellow of the Societies of Actuaries or equivalent
  • At least 9 years of actuarial working experience with minimum 3 years at managerial level
  • With product management experience is preferred
  • Experience in pricing or developing health protection proposition (e.g. medical reimbursement cover) is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation skills with excellence in analytics and solid business and financial acumen. Good in presentation with excellent in spoken and written English and good command of spoken and written Chinese is desired
  • Excellent actuarial knowledge and have a good understanding of local HK regulations on life insurance products. Knowledge various reporting basis and standard is an advantage
  • Ability to work and quickly adapt to changing priorities and to multiple business functions
  • Proven people and management skills
