Position: Senior Director, Reporting & Business Analytics

The Senior Director, Reporting & Business Analytics will be part of the Monogram Health Analytics organization consisting of actuarial, underwriting, reporting, medical economics, and data science team members. This team is focused on building a high-performance organization that is responsible for all financial, operational, and quality reporting for Monogram Health and its clients, as well as driving analytics discussions in support of our large growth initiatives.

This position will work closely with operational leadership and be responsible for advancing performance management capabilities at Monogram and delivering reporting tools and business intelligence to support operational and clinical initiatives. The candidate should have experience in leading high-performing analytics teams, along with a strong track record in crafting reporting solutions tailored for different audiences both internally and externally. This position reports to the VP of Reporting & Analytics Engineering.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and enhancing the reporting platform at Monogram Health - owning the reporting product and roadmap, consolidation, standardization, metrics governance, and ultimate delivery of key milestones.
  • Develop and implement reporting strategies to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across various business functions, ensuring quality, timeliness, and effectiveness.
  • Lead teams through collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from diverse sources to provide valuable insights and recommendations, while ensuring reporting quality, delivery, and product accountability.
  • Engage with cross-functional partners to make decisions on feature prioritization, balancing business needs with feasibility and cost, and take an iterative approach to report role outs to increase speed of value delivery.
  • Actively contribute to the advancement of capabilities through thought leadership, providing strategic guidance in building and standardizing the reporting ecosystem and connecting reporting insights to deliver clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Act as a part of the analytics development team, which includes a balance between active development of reporting insights and tools using SQL, Python, and the Microsoft BI platform, and organizational planning and communication.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, data science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or related field. Master's preferred.
  • Over 7 years of experience in data analytics/reporting, including 5+ years in a value-based provider group or health plan, with 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role. Familiarity with claims analytics strongly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in data analysis and visualization tools like SQL, Python, R, Excel, Power BI, etc.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to synthesize complex data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional projects, and work in fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and concepts in actuarial, underwriting, medical economics, and data science.
