This job is to support valuation reporting for Participating product including perform valuation modelling, asset share, interest study, dividend recommendation and other Par management reporting.

Qualifications
  • University graduate in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics and nearly qualified actuary
  • Detail minded, self-motivated, able to work under pressure
  • Good in both written and spoken English


Responsibilities
  • Perform valuation modelling for Participating products including to fulfill Model Change Management requirements.
  • Determine monthly asset shares to track the policyholders' fair share of the Terminal Bonus Par fund.
  • Monitor UDL (Unallocated Dividend Liabilities) fund changes of the Par closed block including to understand the source of experience variance. The task is also to ensure the UDL adjustment booking process is performed with proper procedure and within the agreed timeline.
  • To ensure that the liabilities for Participating products are booking properly in financial ledger. Through the liability reconciliation, policyholder and shareholder liabilities can be tracked separately.
  • Determine policyholder valuation discount rate by projecting the asset and liability cash flows including to ensure the result is reasonable and supporting with movement analysis.
  • Perform annual interest study to support dividend recommendation.
