Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Life & Health Reinsurance team at our headquarters in Hannover/Germany, join us on a permanent basis commencing at the earliest possible date as a (Business) Mathematician / Physicist Life & Health Reinsurance.

You can look forward to

You contribute to the analysis and modelling of UK and German longevity risks.
  • Modelling and pricing longevity solutions
  • Compiling portfolio and product analyses
  • Developing and maintaining tools in the programming language R for modelling and data analysis
  • Analysing and determining mortality assumptions in close collaboration with our data analytics team
  • Providing customer support and developing reinsurance solutions for the acceptance and cession of longevity risks


You come equipped with

  • Master's degree in (business) mathematics / physics
  • Initial experience in the insurance or reinsurance sector is desirable, with experience gained through internships welcome
  • Well-versed in the use of Excel
  • Initial programming skills and knowledge of the R programming language are an advantage
  • Proficient user skills in German and English (at least level C1)
  • Interest in training as a certified actuary (DAV)
  • Openness, very good communication skills and sharp perceptive faculties
  • Capable of entrepreneurial thinking and actions, enjoy working as part of a team and willingness to go on occasional business trips
