Description At Renaissance Benefits Insurance our Actuaries perform both actuarial and statistical functions for product development and pricing, business development, and financial reporting. They design, implement, and maintain various tools and applications to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely collection and manipulation of data in support of actuarial services.Education, Work Experience & Knowledge: We are most interested in students who are serious about entering the insurance industry and who are excited about the prospect of a career in actuarial analysis Undergraduate students completing their sophomore or junior year preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and analytical skills Attention to detail Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Legally eligible to work in the United States Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree - required Approximate work availability from May through August (12 weeks) - preferred Targeted Majors: Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or Business Management preferred Sample Projects: Assist in the development of individual dental rates and filings Monitoring insurance experience with group benefits like life or disability insurance Assist underwriting in determining the best market position for rates given claims and premium history Location and Other Info: Downtown Indianapolis - Farm Bureau Building Lasting approximately 10-12 weeks beginning in May Please note that these positions do not include housing or housing assistance for interns
