About the Role:

The internship position is responsible for supporting the Financial Resources team at Strategic Non-medical Solutions (SNS). This position will help our Senior Analytics Consultant support our Underwriting, Actuarial, and Account teams. During the time of the internship, the participant will be exposed to a wide variety of non-medical group benefits, learn key industry terms and metrics, as well as the basics of client financial reporting.

Essential Duties:
  • Responsible for assisting with quarterly reporting process and content, this includes but is not limited to:
    • Monitoring reporting inbox
    • Filing reports in appropriate location
    • Working with vendors to ensure all necessary files are received
    • Review reports received to ensure content and format are accurate
    • Use quarterly reporting data to update Financial Resources book of business document.
      • Update key financial metrics
    • Evaluate quarterly reporting process to identify possible improvements
  • Review various reports for accuracy
  • Shadow Underwriting and Actuarial teammates on various projects


Skills Required:
  • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program; Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math, or Actuarial Science preferred.
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication with ability to work well individually and as part of a team
