To shape the future of the Munich Re Group, the IoT team designs and executes the global IoT strategy of Munich Re/HSB by developing insurance-related IoT technology and cutting-edge, IoT-based financial products. Join our team on a temporary basis and help us take the next step by providing new ideas to integrate our IoT products tightly with our core business. The IDP (Insurance Data Platform) project is about developing a platform for IoT data in the context of insurance to improve existing insurance products and develop new ones. In this context, the three IDP products 'IoT Value Guide' (a guide that describes the value of IoT Solutions for insurances), 'Risk Score' (a risk score based on physical, equipment and behavioral data) and 'Embedded / Parametric Insurance' (insurance products sold directly with IoT solutions and immediate payout if sensor data show a damage) will be developed successively. The products are mainly in the area of property insurance, risk area water. The working outcome of this role will be used in the Product Management Stream. We are looking for support in developing the insurance component of these products. Join our team and invent new ways of insuring, fully integrated with technology! YOUR JOB Take over all actuarian and underwriting product responsibilities to create the following results: • Research and analysis of customer pains and needs • Product ideation and value proposition. Participating in customer interviews and create result analysis. Identifying market potential for new products/innovative solutions and collecting product improvement ideas based on client feedback to work closely with the IoT product team on the development of a coherent market positioning and the creation of new revenues • Developing (re-)insurance components of the product to tightly integrate IoT technology into traditional primary insurance products and new ones. Contributing the insurance parts of the product to user stories, prototypes and UX / UI YOUR PROFILE • Experience in actuary and underwriting to developing property insurance / re-insurance products • Interest in IoT and IT Technology • Quick learning skills and ability to become productive quickly • Passion for actuary, underwriting and business development • Strong interest in new topics, trends and developments • Understanding of business challenges and expertise that can be leveraged to produce new solutions In the run-up to the application, please discuss your interest in the project work with your manager, who has to agree to the assignment.
