Founded more than 100 years ago as an actuarial consultancy committed to establishing sound retirement plans, we've evolved to serve HR departments and trustees across the health, wealth, and career spectrum.

How you'll make an impact

  • Perform all aspects of valuations of other postemployment benefit (OPEB) plans, including retiree health and life insurance benefit plans. This includes preparation of data, development of per capita cost assumptions, programming, and preparation of accounting exhibits and report.
  • Assist with special projects related to OPEB plans, including plan design analysis and experience studies.
  • Assist with actuarial attestations for employers eligible to receive the Retiree Drug Subsidy.
  • Assist with valuations of Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) liabilities.
  • Assist with carrier and vendor renewals, evaluations and negotiations, including analysis for competitive bidding (RFP process).
  • Assist with financial analysis and cost projections, including plan design analysis.
  • Interact directly with clients and respond to client requests.
  • Assist with preparation of materials for client meetings and attend meetings with other team members as requested.
  • Perform other special projects or assignments as instructed by supervisor.
  • Attain billable hour's objective (apply acquired skills in client-productive ways).


About You

  • Pursuing actuarial credentials with the Society of Actuaries.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience as described above.
  • Strong analytical skills, experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Programming experience preferred but not required.
