Working place: Shanghai, China Reporting line: Chief Finance Officer, Allianz China Life Number of direct report: 3 Team Size: over 20 Working language: Chinese, English Objectives of the Role: The role is to direct and organize the actuarial functions, provide actuarial advice to CFO/Executive Committee, in order to maximize the value of business to shareholders in the long run. There is also a fiduciary duty to the Board of Directors and the Regulator. The key responsibilities are: Review and ensure proper pricing for all products Review and arrange necessary reinsurance arrangement Ensure that dividend philosophy is properly set up and dividend scales are properly recommended Compute and manage the solvency of the company in collaboration with Risk Dept Perform experience analysis and ensure the reasonableness of actuarial assumptions on pricing / valuation / planning Proper provision and reporting on the liabilities of insurance policies and to ensure the adequacy of reserves Perform business projection and other necessary actuarial reports, e.g. EV report Ensure cost of sales compensation are properly appraised Give recommendations and opinions on the management of the OE's insurance / underwriting risks as well as on the OE's solvency position. Build a strong actuary team Other tasks assigned from reporting manager. Qualifications • Master or above in actuarial, insurance or finance related • At least 10 years of experience in the Actuarial area, at least 5 years of managing experience in the Finance or Actuarial area • At least 3 years post qualification from a recognized Actuarial body (e.g. Society of Actuaries, Institute of Actuaries) Key Competence • Good understanding of Insurance Business. • Strong analytical skills • High integrity level • Good communication skills • Good role model • Ability to motivate the department staff Allianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
