Retirement Plan Administrator

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Compliance production support for client base, including Compliance Testing, Plan Valuation, and Form 5500 completion.
  • Assist with the preparation and mailing of Annual Questionnaires and Census Requests.
  • Track receipt of information needed to perform Compliance Testing and Plan Valuation.
  • Download Financial/Trust Statements as needed for the Plan Valuation.
  • Perform Trust accounting on individual brokerage accounts as needed.
  • Communicate with Actuaries regarding paired Plans.
  • Assist Plan Sponsors with processing Loans and Distributions as needed.
  • Promote client retention and identify opportunities to build existing relationships through exceptional customer service and consultation.
  • Communicate timely, effectively, and professionally both internally and externally.
  • Offer recommendations for improvement in processes and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of Regulatory and Law changes as they affect Retirement Plans and assist in disseminating information internally as needed.
  • Help guide Plan Sponsors and Plan Advisors with technical Regulatory Compliance issues.
  • Attend industry and Company seminars and webinars to attain/maintain accreditation and develop industry related knowledge.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Current or goal-oriented accreditation through ABA, ASPPA and/or NIPA
  • Prior experience in the Retirement Plan industry
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer literacy, including Excel, Word, and Adobe
  • Familiarity with Access beneficial
  • Prior experience with plan valuation, compliance testing and Form 5500 required
  • Familiarity with Plan Provider systems beneficial
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track multiple tasks and issues, set goals and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
