About the Role

Support CHPW's Population Analytics team through analytics to improve the accuracy, effectiveness and value of population health and risk adjustment initiatives. This role is integral in driving improved health outcomes and reducing overall healthcare costs.

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or Economics, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience.
  • Have analytical and quantitative skills and experience, including experience with managing and modeling of large data sets.
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, SQL, SAS, or other analytical software.
  • Are highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Have two (2) to four (4) years of experience analyzing healthcare claims/encounter data preferred.


Essential functions and Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, reconcile, and evaluate/interpret complex data from various sources, maintaining data consistency and integrity.
  • Compile and automate loading of data sources from various programs and departments, providing support for data integrity and data validation.
  • Performs in-depth analysis related to population health, cost, utilization, quality, and risk adjustment trends.
  • Communicate data through visualizations, stories, and high-level summaries that offer actionable insights.
  • Maintain ongoing quality control of delivered reports through self-review and peer review, ensuring reports have a high degree of credibility with all users.
  • Proactively monitor trends to identify risks and opportunities across key revenue and expense categories.
  • Complete ad hoc analyses to support internal and external customers.
  • Design, develop, and implement analytics, reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis to support internal and external business customers.
  • Presents analyses/reports in a clear and useful format and makes recommendations based on those analyses/reports to leadership/management and colleagues across the company.
  • Supports or leads projects/initiatives that span departments and hold accountability for providing analytic support.
  • Conducts routine and complex quantitative analyses and data validation using tools such as SQL, SAS, Excel, or other analytical software.
  • Work with stakeholders and team to understand business questions and problems and to scope data and reporting requests.
  • Presents analyses/reports in clear and useful format to management and colleagues in other departments.
  • Work independently with limited direction.
  • Exhibit initiative in exploring and discovering opportunities to improve corporate performance through data analysis.

Compensation and Benefits:

The position is FLSA Exempt and is not eligible for overtime and has a 10% annual incentive target based on company, department, and individual performance goals. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

Sensory*:

Work Environment:

Office environment Employees who frequently work in front of computer monitors are at risk for environmental exposure to low-grade radiation.
