Description

If you want to experience how things are done in the Advanced Solutions Germany - Worldwide team at our headquarters in Hannover/Germany, join us on a permanent basis commencing at the earliest possible date as a Underwriter / (Business) Mathematician.

Your Tasks

Our focus is on the customer, for whom we provide pioneering solutions in the form of our structured reinsurance products that complement traditional reinsurance protection. We thereby help to deliver relief from solvency requirements and optimise risk-based capital allocation.
  • Accepting and evaluating requests for structured reinsurance including subsequent creation of tailored solutions for insurance and corporate customers
  • Drawing up actuarial analyses and projections to manage profitability
  • Developing and coordinating collaboration with the market departments and our representative offices in the various geographies
  • Cultivating contacts with existing business partners (customers and brokers) and building new business relationships
  • Preparing and holding seminars on structured reinsurance and being willing to appear as a speaker at conferences etc.
  • Planning, steering, controlling and coordinating business and process data according to the defined quality standards


Your Profile

  • Master's degree in mathematics or business mathematics
  • Hands-on experience in the insurance or financial sector, gained for example through internships or employment as a working student
  • Initial familiarity with the preparation of balance sheet analyses as well as with the application of balance sheet, regulatory and fiscal guidelines and processes
  • Interest in actuarial and economic issues
  • High degree of self-reliance and flexibility
  • Proficient user skills in English (at least level C1) as well as independent user skills in German (at least level B2)
  • Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel worldwide on business, roughly five or six times a year
