First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Treasury Analytics Officer to join the team in our Treasury and Investments Division. In this role, the Treasury Analytics Officer develops and implements Treasury data analytics related to deposit pricing, liquidity stress testing and overall balance sheet management.

Key Position Accountabilities:
  1. Manages the Bank's deposit analytics program
    • Conducts regular reporting and analytics for deposit pricing committee
    • Collaborate with business units and product areas to understand and communicate deposit balance, pricing and behavior trends
    • Perform analysis to support and develop deposit pricing recommendations and quantifying tradeoffs
    • Serve as the platform and system subject matter expert and data owner ensuring model and data governance
  2. Support the Bank's liquidity analytics, policy and stress testing
    • Collaborate with Treasury leadership to analyze the Bank's liquidity position and develop liquidity analytics
    • Maintain and calibrate assumptions and documentation as part of the Bank's liquidity stress test
    • Conduct peer and industry analysis and keep abreast of market and regulatory trends
  3. Provide analytical support for the Treasury team
    • Develop and conduct balance sheet analytics and reporting to support the management of interest rate risk, capital, liquidity and profitability
    • Support the Bank's enterprise wide stress test by providing research and decision support on model assumptions, scenario development and mitigating actions
  4. Performs ad hoc tasks for the finance group based on requests

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (hours may vary)

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is $83,325 - $115,000 /yr; commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, actuarial science or related concentration; or equivalent work experience required
  • Master's degree in finance, financial engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or other related quantitative discipline preferred
  • Five years of experience in banking, financial services or related industry required
  • Experience with various bank products including deposits, loans, derivatives required
  • Experience working with financial data or large data sets required
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL required
  • Self-motivated and attentive to detail
  • Ability to work under restricted timeframes
  • Capacity for creative solutions to non-routing problems
  • Demonstrable aptitude for written and verbal communication
  • Advanced knowledge of finance, statistics, or econometrics
  • Competence in standard MS Office applications, with emphasis on efficiency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project and Visio
