Description

We are looking for Actuarial Product Development Analysts to join our Actuarial Governance Team to support the development and customer use of the FIS Insurance Risk Suite (Prophet) solution, particularly customers using our managed cloud services in the region and also globally.
We sit at the forefront of the Insurance modelling industry and empower insurers and reinsurers around the world with the tools and services they need to reliably manage their risks. In the Actuarial Governance Team, you will work with our customer experience, service delivery and development teams responsible for the solution as well as with customers to help solve their problems.

What you will do:
  • Build actuarial models to assist with development projects
  • Review developments in the suite of products covering both actuarial library and system aspects
  • Feed back into product, infrastructure and other teams to ensure ongoing product and service improvements
  • Strong IT skills particularly in understanding server, networking loads and managing cloud environments
  • Support customers and customer-facing teams on product related topics
  • Determine root causes of issues and provide alternative solutions to problems
  • Work closely with our client teams to ensure customers get the best experience and service


What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or science-based subject
  • A background in insurance or financial services
  • A good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working as part of a large diverse, global team
  • Strong problem solving and analytic skills
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills
  • An interest in computers, e.g. coding/macros, building/upgrading and tuning


Bonus if you have:
  • Experience working in a life insurance department or consultancy
  • Have used the Prophet system or other actuarial systems
  • Technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure and technology
  • Awareness of emerging regulatory and risk topics that will impact the financial industry, including climate related risks
