Description

Job Summary:

  • To be involved in tracking and monitoring the key strategic direction of the Company.
  • Prepare and deliver reports to track key KPIs.
  • Collaborate with SMT to ensure the business objectives are met.
  • Assist in implementing transformational initiatives and projects.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify process gaps, weaknesses, and stress faced by key departments.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards and data management.
  • Track business performance, analyse gaps, and provide guidance to address them.
  • Work with business managers to ensure key performance measurements align with overall business direction.
  • Communicate corporate strategies effectively to all staff and align Company KPIs.
  • Facilitate the preparation of Balanced Scorecard and department business plans for SMT and Board approval.
  • Provide/collect analysis on key industry issues, trends, competitor analyses, benchmarking, and other key indicators.
  • Prepare management reports and ad hoc reports for the CEO's office, e.g., quarterly dialogue, Board presentation, Townhall presentation, etc.
  • Attend management meetings and prepare effective minutes.


Job Specification:

  • Degree or higher qualification in any discipline with a strong understanding of finance, accounting, actuarial, or corporate strategy.
  • Mathematically inclined with exposure to coding and ability to use analytical tools are added advantages.
  • Over 1 year of experience in actuarial, corporate finance, business consulting, or project and change management.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Relevant computer skills (Visual Basic, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.).
  • People management skills, strong emotional intelligence to deal with all levels of staff, especially those at the senior level.
  • Project management skills.
  • Analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Company operations and workarounds.
  • Good understanding of core business principles and processes.
  • Stay informed about trends and developments in the local and global insurance/Takaful industry.
  • Awareness of competitor practices, strategies, and financial positions.
