The IFRS17 finance operations team are responsible for the support to the business units that utilise the common IFRS17 solutions, which include the SAS CSM engine, SLAM, ETL, Sun GL and relating regional controls and processes. This support primarily takes place during the quarterly, half year and full year production runs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Providing specific functional areas of expertise (e.g. by component of the solution, or on the subject areas accounting, actuarial and data)
  • Business unit point person, to be the primary point of contract through production process
  • Regular interaction with the corporate technology team that maintain the solutions, to support the resolution of any production issues arising
  • Interaction with Future Finance Programme ('FFP') for functional support for large solution releases.
  • Responsible for building strong working relationships with assigned BUs, and group colleagues
  • Functional business owner for the assigned solution component. Owner of related design, process and control documentation for assigned solution component
  • Resolving BU production queries / issues, in coordination with other teams. Work with other teams (e.g., FFP-team) and provide functional and subject matter expertise, when identifying further improvements (e.g., removing workarounds).
  • Communicating progress and escalating issues to team leader as needed

Role Requirements:

  • Strong technical understanding of the relevant component of the Prudential IFRS17 solution
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team, and displaying strong teamwork skills to come together to resolve issues
  • Good service culture mentality - for supporting the business units as the customers
  • Strong communication skills for interactions with the business units
  • Good understanding of IFRS17 as applied at Prudential
  • Practical problem solving mentality with attention to detail
  • Continuous improvement mindset
