Your Role

You will join the Actuarial & Risk department responsible for the risk management of a life insurance company managing a portfolio of unit-linked insurance policies with guarantees (variable annuities).

In this role you will
  • Perform quantitative analyses of variable annuities portfolios under the different accounting and risk frameworks IFRS17, Solvency II and SST.
  • Contribute to the actuarial controlling and best estimates process.
  • Monitor the risk-adjusted profitability of our products.
  • Take an active role in the Solvency II ORSA and SFCR reports and in the actuarial reporting.
  • Contribute to the qualitative risk management of the company.
  • Work closely together with the Risk & Infrastructure Team and the Hedging Team in the further development and automation of the processes in place for risk and hedging analysis of the underlying portfolios and financial instruments.


Your Profile
  • University degree in mathematics, actuarial science or a similar qualification with a strong quantitative focus
  • Actuarial experience in stochastic modelling (e.g. in pricing, reserving, underwriting, risk management) desired, preferably in the life area
  • Experienced programming skills in Python or in R and knowledge of SQL for data analysis
  • Good knowledge of derivatives and financial markets
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, as well as the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proactive with high sense of independence and the ability to implement pragmatic solutions
  • Business fluency in English.
