Your team responsibilities

This position is best suited for a results-driven, self-starter with a strong work ethic and interest in the Investment Finance field. You will have the opportunity to work with innovative financial investment applications utilizing the latest technologies and will be responsible for understanding the data requirements used to build solutions for client risk and performance measurement and reporting. You will contribute towards a broad set of objectives including not only supporting production client data management solutions, but also developing best practices to be applied to all projects and operating procedures that drive efficiencies in the way the team operates.

Your key responsibilities

The Managed Solutions role engages stakeholders to understand client data requirements and is responsible for enhancing configurations used to process the client's data as it relates to the acquisition and integration into MSCI's analytical platforms. You will engage in the following activities related to client data:
  • Collaborate with Managed Service Delivery team to improve the existing client workflow configuration, maintain production data mapping and standardization. Collaborate with modelling and development teams on asset modelling development.
  • Support the Managed Services team in their day-to-day tasks for ensuring quality and timeliness of their regular deliverables.
  • Gradually gain a deep understanding of Risk Financial Management and Performance Analytics methodologies.
  • Leverage your IT skills (EXCEL or/and VBA or/and Python) to come up with automated solutions to optimize client-specific workflows.
  • Review output: functional modeling per asset class.
  • Reconciliation of raw versus integrated/ modeled data.
  • Understand the analytics behind different MSCI products and learn in and out of the products.
  • It's a Global Team and requires close collaboration between different geographic zones so candidate shift timings may be little earlier/later than regular office hours.


Your skills and experience that will help you excel
  • Understanding of global financial markets, different financial instruments traded and investment risk management.
  • Good knowledge of Excel.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight, short-term deadlines.

  • Ability to work efficiently with diverse cultures on a global team.
  • A self-starter, self-learner, and highly motivated individual, with the ability to work individually and within a team.

Desired Experience
  • 1-2 years for Analyst or 3-5 years for Associate. Relevant work experience (including internships) in current role in the financial investment domain, and/or managing financial data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with JIRA and Agile project development practices is a plus

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Economics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology or similar subject.
  • Exposure to statistical software like Visual Basic, MATLAB, R, Python, SQL etc., will be an added plus.
  • Multi-lingual: excellent English speaking/writing skills required to engage with a global team and clients.
  • Strong analytic, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Solid analytical background is desired.
  • Driven by working in an environment that combines investment finance and technology.
  • Candidates pursuing Certifications like CFA/FRM/CAIA will be an added advantage.
