Job Summary

This role involves working within the Catastrophe Modelling team of Allied World Services Branch. The primary responsibility is to review and enhance catastrophe modelling inputs for pricing and portfolio accumulation. The position involves working closely with underwriting and actuarial departments to ensure a consistent view of catastrophe risk. You will have strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities / Duties:
• Account level pre-bind modelling. Verify pre-cleansed import file and provide modelled results for underwriters' pricing files. Lines of Business to include Property, Construction and Marine.
• Monitor and report on exposure accumulation including non-modeled region-perils. Carry out and report Monthly portfolio roll-up to underwriters, group-level reporting, and regulatory reporting.
• Liaise with other cat modellers, actuaries, underwriters, and other stakeholders as regards provision of catastrophe modelling outputs, validation of catastrophe models, loss event reporting and enhancement of workflow processes as required.

Qualifications
• Educated to at least bachelor's degree level or higher, preferably in Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline.
• At least 3 years' experience in catastrophe modelling within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
• Knowledge in the operation of vendor modelling catastrophe software, preferably AIR/Verisk.
• Handling of SQL queries, and large datasets
