What You'll Do: As a Life Actuarial Associate IV on our Risk Management team, you will assist in the calculation, analysis, and review of actuarial values to support the development and implementation of strategies for the life insurance company. You will be part of a team responsible for the production and analysis of projected asset and liability cash flows used to manage the company's most significant asset-liability risks. You will be involved in management of the company's liquidity, cash-flow matching objectives, asset modeling allocation, duration interest rate risk reporting, and completing the company's annual asset adequacy testing requirements. In addition, you will have the opportunity to interact and engage with other professionals within the Life Actuarial department as well as a variety of investment and finance professionals across the company.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:
• College degree in math, actuarial science, or related degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least five years of related work experience preferred.
• ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) and continued progress towards an FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of actuarial software and/or programming ability required with experience in MG-ALFA preferred.
• Previous experience with Asset Liability Management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance and/or annuity products.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with coworkers.
• Ability to work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
