The Opportunity

This role will become a SME (Subject Matter Expert) of the Variable Annuity (VA) and Life Prophet model, interact closely with modeling team members, and collaborate effectively with the Product Development and Financial Reporting teams.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain and upgrade Variable Annuity and Life cashflow/GAAP/STAT models.
  • Ensure integrity of the VA and Life models that produce the monthly/quarterly financials.
  • Manage a list of GAAP and STAT model approximations.
  • Address auditor's questions and requests in a timely manner.
  • Continuous improvement and execution of validations of model calculations.
  • Provide strong documentations and proper model governance controls.
  • Demonstrate accountability by taking ownership of the work and strong follow through on commitments.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years' experience, preferably with actuarial models.


Ideal Qualifications
  • Passed at least 3 actuarial exams
  • 3+ years of experience with managing actuarial models
  • Annuity and life product and valuation knowledge
  • Solid experience with VBA and/or other programming languages
  • Experience with Prophet software
