The Life and Structured Solutions team in Dubai is responsible for Life (Individual Life and Group Credit Life) Reinsurance and Structured Reinsurance Solutions in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets. The team work closely with offices in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to provide innovative reinsurance solutions to insurance companies across MENA countries. The team is comprised of qualified actuaries and actuarial associates, and perform work covering technical and market research, actuarial analysis, client management and transaction-based project deliverables.

To support our mission, we are currently looking for an Actuarial Consultant to prepare and review traditional individual and credit life treaties aswell as providing actuarial support to the Head of Business Unit, Business Development, Pricing and Inforce Management teams.

Job Description
  • Coordinate with regional team to ensure the local office is up to date with the latest treaty wordings and guidelines
  • Once new products and/or changes to current treaties have been finalized, prepare and finalize treaties/addendas. This will include coordinating between the client and the internal teams namely actuarial, underwriting, client management, accounts and valuation.
  • Coordinating with the teams to ensure sign-off
  • Coordinating with clients to ensure countersignature, and storage.
  • Coordinate setting up of new treaties in reinsurance administration system
  • Maintaining log of all treaties and addendas for the MENA.
  • Provide actuarial support to the teams of Business Development, Pricing and Inforce Management as and when needed.
  • Provide actuarial support to the Head of Business Unit on matters of development of new reinsurance structures, strategy, project management and internal reporting.


Your Profile
  • Qualified actuary (associate or fellow of one of the major actuarial societies)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in life and health insurance/reinsurance
  • Strong IT skills particularly in MS Excel (including VBA)
  • Strong commitment to quality and timely delivery
  • Excellent technical actuarial skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
