Within the Group, you will join the Group Underwriting Office.

Within this Department, you will be part of the team Ceded Reinsurance/P&U/High Growth Markets.

Group Ceded Re, whose mission is to centralize the reinsurance function relating to risk transfer for the Group's property and casualty and life insurance activities, aims to become the Group's reinsurer on these business lines, to support the development of its entities, to optimize the Group's capital, while strengthening its visibility both internally and externally.

The Group Reinsurance department has the following missions:

  • Define the AXA Group's reinsurance strategy;
  • Analyze the risks of the hedged portfolios;
  • Protect the balance sheet of Group entities;
  • Secure the insurance operations of the Group's subsidiaries;
  • Implement solutions that optimise the Group's internal capacities and risk transfers on external markets.


This department is organized into units: Underwriting & Group Protections (UGP)- CAT, Property, Motor and Life, UGP - Liability & Specialty, Mature Markets, High Growth Markets, Data, Analytics & Pricing, Operations, Actuarial Reserving and Large Claims.

Your job and daily missions

Within its scope, which includes several Group subsidiaries, the Client Executive is responsible for the placement and monitoring of local reinsurance treaties. He is the favorite contact for all exchanges both internally (Actuarial Department, Risk Management, Accounting Department, Legal Department, etc.) and externally with reinsurers, brokers and AXA entities within its scope.

Main activities

The Client Executive will be responsible for :

  • Analyzing the portfolios to be reinsured and monitor the results of treaties;
  • Providing technical assistance to back office teams and take part in the monitoring of reporting;
  • Contributing to global relationships with brokers and reinsurers with whom the AXA Group works;
  • Taking part in the coordination of actuarial studies carried out by AXA Ceded Re teams on the various treaties;
  • Contributing to the identification of reinsurance structures to protect the results and balance sheet of the supervised entities, and to optimize the value retained;
  • Preparing calls for tenders, evaluate bids submitted by reinsurers, participate in negotiations on reinsurance terms and conditions with subsidiaries and reinsurers, and monitor investments;
  • Participating in the development of contractual documents for clients and reinsurers;
  • Managing contractual waivers.


Experience

  • Master's in Insurance, Actuarial, Finance or Legal
  • At least 4 years of experience in underwriting/actuarial insurance or reinsurance
