Our Retirement team supports organizations in designing, managing, administering and communicating all types of retirement plans. Whether a client has a defined benefit or a defined contribution plan, we collaborate with them to determine the right approach to design, funding, investing, governing and employee engagement that fits their specific goals.

The Role

In this exciting role as a Retirement Associate Director, you will have the opportunity to support diverse projects related to mergers & acquisitions, asset liability studies, forecasting, early retirement windows, financial resilience, plan mergers, annuity purchases and other special projects by tapping into our industry leading thought leadership and technology.

You will also:

  • Provide value-added consulting expertise on retirement plan valuation, management and design, financial risk management and funding projects, and special projects involving global consulting, strategic workforce planning and total rewards strategies.
  • Lead large complex client engagements, ensuring projects are appropriately planned, budgeted and monitored, manage the client financials and ensuring work is properly delegated.
  • Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client's broader business issues.
  • Ensure clients are regularly informed about the implications and opportunities that changing laws and regulations have related to their retirement plans.
  • Develop new business opportunities and enhance existing relationships.
  • Develop junior colleagues and create an inclusive team environment.


Qualifications

The Requirements

  • FSA/FCIA credentials
  • Experience and expertise delivering Canadian retirement consulting services.
  • Demonstrated success or strong evidence to support the ability to contribute to new business generation.
  • Exceptional client relationship skills: ability to develop strong relationships quickly and maximize resources effectively to achieve goals.
  • Proven delegation skills and a natural desire to coach and mentor junior associates
  • Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to work in a performance-driven environment managing multiple deliverables on multiple clients.
  • Strong personal presence with well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
