We adopted agile and design-thinking principles in delivering our projects at work and play a key role in enabling the organization strategic goals.

This role will expose you to how Actuarial could take customer-centric perspectives and iterative prototyping approach to solve complex problem more effectively. You will also get to apply new technology and data analytics to automate actuarial work as well as providing impactful insights to our business partners.

We are looking for a team player within the financial reporting team with the following key responsibilities:
  • Key player in Par fund management including bonus investigation and recommendation, asset share study, bonus implementation and the review of Par fund management framework
  • Assist team lead in Par fund related initiatives and projects
  • The role will provide first hand exposure to chief actuary as well as opportunities to enhance actuarial technical knowledge and play a key role in adopting new technologies
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and tasks based on department priorities
  • Ensure deliveries follows the department's best practice on risk and compliance

Requirements
  • Good progress in actuarial qualifications with either US, UK, or Australia Actuarial Institute or newly qualified actuary, with at least 4 to 6 years of work experience in actuarial function, with exposure to financial reporting
  • Technical, meticulous and able to apply critical thinking
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with other team members and departments
  • Adaptable, open to a dynamic working environment and willing to explore new ways of working
  • Experience in Par fund management will be an advantage
  • Experience in using Prophet and data software such as Alteryx will be a plus
