Description

Responsibilities
  • Support analysis and decision-making for ALM strategy and initiatives, including strategic asset allocation and investment strategy, interest rate risk management (e.g., asset/liability duration matching, key rate duration analysis, Economic Capital management), and risk tolerance and limit setting.
  • Provide ALM support for new product development activities.
  • Support derivative-based hedging activities, including day-to-day operations (e.g., collateral management) and performance monitoring. Enhance process efficiencies.
  • Support activities for the Asset/Liability Management & Investment Committee, the Risk & Capital Committee, and the Board of Directors.
  • Develop new and maintain existing ALM dashboards and reports. Enhance process efficiencies.
  • Develop a good understanding of different reporting bases (HK/Singapore/Bermuda regulatory and internal Economic Framework).
  • Support business planning and other ad hoc projects related to ALM and capital management.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial or equivalent education
  • 3 years relevant experience in life insurance industry
  • Good progress in actuarial exams
  • Experience / knowledge in valuation or reporting experience or economic capital and/or risk-based capital framework
  • Working knowledge of valuation/reporting, capital management, ALM structures
  • Good understanding of Universal Life product
  • Actuarial software programming in RAFM/MoSes
  • Experience in Bloomberg
  • Good time management and thrives working flexibly under sometimes challenging project-based timescales
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good problem solving & analytical skills
  • Independent, self-motivated, and responsible
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to produce a high-quality work product
  • Strong desire to learn by working on project based new developments
