Job Description: Job Description Senior Actuarial Manager or Actuarial Manager in Capital and Reinsurance Management team providing managerial and technical support in capital risk monitoring and management including capital adequacy testing, initiative assessment for capital efficiency, etc. Responsible for capital management routines required by the regulator and the company's corporate such as producing quarterly capital sensitivities to key risks, capital movement analysis and capital forecast, inforce and new business capital contribution, preparing capital dashboard, etc. Perform capital adequacy testing, mainly Financial Condition Testing (stress test the projected capital plan under various adverse scenarios) on the Canadian LICAT basis and HK RBC ORSA stress and scenario testing (including prescribed scenarios and own scenarios), and make recommendation on management actions Produce the 5-year capital plan on HK RBC and Canadian LICAT basis and capital generation analysis; perform ad-hoc capital analysis for management decision, e.g. cash value deficiency projection and monitoring, capital analysis for investment initiatives and/or ALM initiatives, new product capital contribution Provide analytical support on assessing and recommending capital reinsurance solutions, such as analysis on capital benefits under both HK RBC and Canadian LICAT basis, accounting set up, and cost benefit analysis Supervise and review junior staff's work to ensure accurate modelling and provide coaching and training for junior staff career development Requirements University Graduate in Actuarial Science or related disciplines Qualified actuary 6 or more years of experience in life insurance industry Extensive actuarial knowledge in valuation, capital and financial reporting Experience in asset and liability cash flow projection and stress testing is a strong plus Strong modelling skills, experience in Moody's Axis and/or knowledge in IFRS 17 is a gain Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good planning and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Can work independently with minimal supervision and excellent at driving the projects Ability to apply complex concepts to solve business problems Be able to understand big picture and provide insightful analysis for business decision Accuracy and attention to details Demonstrate initiative, commitment and responsibility, able to guide junior staff Excellent verbal and written communication skills (prepare reports and presentations) on both English and Chinese We offer 5-day work, attractive salary, MPF, group life and group medical insurance; and excellent career development opportunities to the right candidate.
