Chubb is hiring for a Senior Financial Analyst! This role operates on a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) based out of our Philadelphia, PA office.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly bulk reserve processing into financials through working with regional Actuarial teams to collect parameters, Finance on reconciling results, Reinsurance on recoverables, and Internal Audit on controls.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc information and reconciliations for several financial reporting requirements related to reserve balances and loss forecasting.
  • Assist COG actuarial leadership in the preparation and presentation of quarterly reserve reviews and annual planning to senior management.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance and other relevant functional disciplines to design and manage processes aimed to gain efficiencies in collecting, aggregating and presenting actuarial information.
  • Work with Finance and IT to improve data quality of financial systems.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Actuarial Science
  • Minimum 5 years of Accounting/Financial Reporting experience
  • P&C insurance experience required
  • CPA or MBA or Actuarial exams taken preferred
  • Advanced level knowledge of MS Office products - Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to familiarize and data mine quickly with new software
  • Ability to perform financial analysis with the understanding of key insurance drivers. Must be able to further analyze to identify issues and/or extrapolate trends
  • Must have strong oral & written communication skills, to articulate issues / recommendations to all levels of Chubb's organization in both written and verbal forms
  • Must be able to multi-task & prioritize assignments
  • Requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be an enthusiastic, dedicated self-starter
