MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • The Employee Benefits Propositions Director is responsible for leading the development and management of compelling product offerings within the employee benefits sector. The role involves assessing and evaluating insurance risks in the EB plans, identifying market opportunities, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative product offerings that address client needs and differentiate the company in the market.
  • The EB Segments Director plays a critical role in driving product strategy, development, and go-to-market activities to achieve business objectives.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Leads the development and execution of the EB product offering strategy, including insurance risk assessment, market analysis, competitive assessment, and identification of key customer needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with product development, marketing, sales, and client services teams to define product requirements, features, and benefits based on market insights and client feedback.
  • Conduct market research, customer surveys, and focus groups to gather insights into client needs, preferences, and pain points related to EB.
  • Analyze industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
  • Develop business cases and financial models to evaluate the feasibility and potential impact of new product propositions, including revenue projects, cost analysis, and ROI calculations.
  • Work closely with the product development team to prioritize product roadmap initiatives and ensure alignment with market needs and strategic priorities.
  • Leads the development of compelling value propositions, messaging, and positioning for EB, tailored to different client segments and target markets.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams, other channel teams, and finance teams, to develop launch plans, promotional campaigns, and sales enablement materials to drive product awareness, adoption, and revenue growth.
  • Monitor product performance, market trends, and client feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements, iterations, and portfolio optimization.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis of product performance, including key metrics, KPIs, and market share to the Executive Leadership Team.


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Actuary, or related field. Higher education in a specialized field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in the Insurance industry, with at least 7 years proven track record of insurance underwriting, product management, product marketing, or business development.
  • In-depth knowledge of EB laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in market research, customer segmentation, and product positioning to identify market opportunities and drive product innovation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex EB concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in putting in place dynamic teams, and managing projects from inception to completion.
