Working as part of a global team, the analyst will provide sophisticated analysis and differentiated insights on Property & Casualty industry trends. This analysis will inform client decisions and contribute to the advisory services we provide to insurance companies. The role will be based in our New York, NY office. How you'll make an impact Your role will be primarily to conduct financial analysis on industry and company trends and to communicate recommendations You will work with a high performing and supportive team with a commitment to excellence You will have access to muti-functional experts at the top of their respective professional fields You will support client projects delivering evidence-based and data-driven analysis to inform strategic advice and recommendations Analysts should expect exceptional access to coaching, training, and personal development opportunities to support their growth and development As an Analyst, You will: Be part of a small team working on our most complex projects Get expect exceptional access to coaching, training, and personal development opportunities to support your growth and development Have opportunities to engage directly with senior executives both internally and externally About You Excellent record of academic achievement A commitment to excellence and continual improvement Proven quantitative and analytical skillset Ability to communicate complex ideas in plain English, whatever the format Strong team player with high EQ Preference for entrepreneurial and can-do environments Bachelor's degree Willingness to travel Desired: 1-3 years experience in a strategic and analytical role with a focus on the insurance / reinsurance industry. However, new graduates will be considered. Relevant experience would include actuarial, investment and/or industry research, corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or rating agency Progress towards either actuarial qualifications or the CFA - or appetite to pursue it Knowledge of data science or statistical programming languages Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI a plus. Experience with US statutory and GAAP accounting for insurance companies SNL/S&P CapIQ knowledge and experience Work Traits: Ability to juggle competing demands and prioritize what needs to get done The ability to present complex concepts to a wide audience. Excellent attention to detail.
