Job Category Actuarial Compensation Overview The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. Are you looking for opportunities to apply your actuarial and analytical skills to influence rate level decisions for industry leading commercial auto insurance products? We have an exciting role for you on the Business Insurance Actuarial Product Auto team! As a Director, Actuarial & Analytics, you will be leading rate adequacy analysis for both our new Travelers Commercial Auto product (TCAP) and for existing products, providing pricing indications to business units and collaborating across functional teams to influence rate level decisions. Successful candidates would have strong critical thinking skills, understanding of actuarial rate adequacy methodology, problem solving and skills communicating technical concepts to a variety of business customers. ACAS or FCAS is preferred for this position. This position will have two direct reports. Specific areas of responsibility include: • Lead and communicate results for annual Plan and semi-annual Rate Adequacy for Business Insurance Auto. • Thought leader for actuarial methodology and assumptions used in Rate Adequacy including leveraging predictive models to create multivariate views of Rate Adequacy and optimizing the relationships between pricing models and benchmark indications. • Develop rate indications by product (TCAP/Travelers Express/Legacy) and State. • Accountable for TCAP base rates and Target Premium for product rollout, anniversary filings, and benchmark. • Respond to DOI objections related to rate level support.What Will You Do?
