Position Summary

This individual will be responsible for all non-technical aspects of operations delivery within Actuarial Services. The Actuarial Services team consists of 240+ resources supporting various actuarial functions including Valuation and Reporting, Pricing Oversight, Reinsurance, Modeling, Asset Liability Management and Experience Studies.

This role requires the incumbent to partner with various internal teams to drive organization level strategic initiatives and programs for Actuarial Services. The individual is expected to provide an effective liaison between the various business departments.

Job Responsibilities

The following are the key responsibilities for this position:
  • Drive and support leadership on design and execution of overall business strategy
  • Ensure that program management strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives
  • Play a key role in resource planning/enablement and billing
  • Play a key role in budgeting, governance and execution of development programs
  • Build strong working relationships with all stakeholders and internal departments
  • Support all business data management and reporting requests received
  • Drive employee engagement and recognition initiatives
  • Program manage business excellence initiatives and ensure robust tracking and reporting


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

Bachelor's Degree preferably in a quantitative discipline

Experience

13+ years of experience assuming roles of increasing responsibilities

Experience managing large groups preferred

Experience managing programs preferred (CMMI, Agile, Employee Recognitions)

Experience developing and managing policies preferred

Experience collecting, maintaining and distributing data is preferred

Experience building database systems preferred

Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

Must be able to quickly learn the goals and aspirations of various stakeholders and make quick decisions optimizing the overall value

Must be able to propose creative solutions to difficult problems

Must be able to resolve conflicts among various parties through constructive negotiations

Excellent oral and written communication skills is a must

Must be extremely comfortable with Excel (using various formulas, creating reports, reconciling data)

Proficiency in creating power point presentations

Other Requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training - if required)

Good quantitative skills preferred
