Role Purpose:

Prudential is actively seeking a dynamic and pro-active actuarial professional to join our growing Actuarial team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to step into the role of Assistant Manager within the Embedded Value (EV) reporting team and be groomed as the future leader of this team. Responsibilities will include comprehensive end-to-end EV reporting, analyzing results, providing commentary, and conducting in-depth variances analysis. Additionally, there will be opportunities to present insights on result movements to the Head of Valuation and Chief Actuary.

Key Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with the EV team leader to manage EV reporting for regular business-as-usual (BAU) tasks, as well as for forecasting and annual business planning
  • Conduct thorough analysis of movements in key financial metrics and communicate the underlying drivers of results to key stakeholders, including the Head of Valuation and Chief Actuary
  • Lead technical discussions related to EV reporting, manage in-depth assessments, and provide valuable insights regarding financial implications
  • Continuously improve the efficiency of the EV reporting process by streamlining and automating where possible
  • Provide support on ad hoc projects as needed


Qualifications and Experience
  • A solid background of 3-5 years in actuarial work within the life insurance industry
  • Proficiency in investigating intricate technical matters with ability to effectively convey findings and their implications
  • Good managerial skill and analytical mind
  • Essential proficiency in MS Office and data analysis techniques
  • Good command of both written and spoken English
