He/She will provide assistance to the Head of FRM in overseeing and managing risk exposures associated with product pricing, capital management and investment strategy, etc.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Support Head of Department (HoD) in implementing and ensuring compliance with the local Risk Management Framework, Risk Policies and standards, consistent with local regulatory requirement / Internal Risk Frameworks and Risk Policies
  • Support HoD in identifying, assessing and monitoring the financial risk exposures (i.e. credit, market, liquidity and insurance risk) against local risk appetite and limits
  • Monitor key risk indicators of Financial Risk
  • Provide support of risk-based decision making on:
  • Product development and pricing. This includes liaising with the key stakeholders to ensure the products (e.g. features, the pricing elements and other conditions) create value within the risk appetite, review the product risks and articulate the risks to the local stakeholders regarding to the product risk identification, assessment and management policies
  • Reinsurance arrangements and any other risk transfer / hedging arrangements
  • Strategic asset allocation, investment strategy
  • Strategic and business planning
  • Capital management and any other material business decisions
  • Assist the development and implementation of local risk appetite framework
  • Provide support on the annual risk identification and various Stress Testing exercises
  • Develop effective working relationships with all key stakeholders e.g. Finance & Actuarial, Investment managers and Group colleagues.
  • Prepare the key financial risks related materials to the risk committees via the risk management pack
  • Meet any ad hoc risk management initiatives from the Group, local regulators and other stakeholders

Minimum requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in Actuarial, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or other related fields
  • Good progress or qualification in SOA or relevant certification (FRM, CFA, PRM, etc) is preferable
  • Minimum of 4-years experiences of life insurance with at least 2 years in product development / pricing, solvency framework and/or other relevant areas.
  • Familiar with Local Solvency Framework, financial reporting, European Embedded Value (EEV)
  • General knowledge/ experience in financial market will be an asset
  • Must be able to effectively work independently as well as in a team
  • Good command in written and spoken English
  • Good command in MS Office
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving
