As an Underwriting Co-Op, you will have the opportunity to develop key skills and to build a successful underwriting career at a growing company that has consistently met financial growth objectives. Underwriting focuses on analyzing various risk factors and making informed decisions on whether or not to stake corporate capital. Additionally, the role requires sales and marketing skills through interaction with brokers to differentiate our products and services from our competitors'. Underwriters should have a mix of strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills while acting as decisive problem solvers who lean on curiosity and research to assess risk and thrive within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position offers you the chance to develop risk selection acumen, insurance knowledge, and hone your negotiation skills, while building relationships with brokers in the industry.
