Job Description Minimum Qualifications:
POSITION SUMMARY The Data Analyst is responsible for overseeing, organizing, and optimizing healthcare data including EMR and claims data used to help drive strategic decisions and work activities for AtlantiCare. The Analyst is responsible for the configuration and administration of analytic tools, the development and use of databases, data marts, reports, dashboards and the interpretation of data and analysis results using statistical techniques. Provides essential data support and analysis for various business initiatives. Research, analyze, validate, and prepare data for use in monitoring and reporting, strategy support, and special projects. This role requires working with multiple sources of healthcare data (ex: claims, financial, and clinical data) to meet both internal and external reporting requirements and support new initiatives. Projects range from simple programming and basic data manipulation/analysis to more advanced techniques and analytics. The analyst will master a variety of tools (ex: SQL, Excel, Tableau) to access data, write queries, create dashboards, run reports, manipulate, and analyze large datasets to meet the needs of the organization. The analyst will present analytical findings in a variety of formats (reports, PowerPoint, Tableau, graphs, figures, and tables), formulating recommendations, and effectively present results to non-analytic audiences. The analyst will have exceptionally strong analytical thinking to breakdown complex problems and a strong will to get things done and deliver accurate results Demonstrated experience in analytical problem solving (including statement of problem, identification and collection of pertinent data, analysis, recommendation, and revaluation) strongly preferred. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in required; Master's degree in analytics, data science, or related field preferred. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: EXPERIENCE: PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stopping, and crouching for a majority of the workday. This position works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machines, printer, and copier. This position may require occasional lifting. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP This position reports to Department Leadership.
