Actuarial Expert

Are you a qualified actuary with experience in credit analysis and credit rating methodologies?

A key driver for Aviva's growth is its annuity business. Aviva is a central player in both the individual and bulk annuity markets, with much of the growth in new business volumes coming from bulk purchase annuities.

This portfolio consists of a wide range of UK and Overseas credit assets from both public and private debt markets, including Bonds, Equity Release Mortgages, Commercial Mortgages, Structured Finance, and Infrastructure Loans.

A bit about the job:

The IWR CFO is required to provide this attestation at least annually and this role is to support the work required for this attestation.

Development of Aviva's matching adjustment attestation process. This will include setting the attestation policy as defining responsibilities and processes for the attestation, setting and undertaking the analysis required for each asset class to review the fundamental spread as well as collation of evidence to support the attestation report and production of the attestation report for IWR Actuarial Reserving Lead and communication of the report with senior stakeholders.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • A qualified Actuary and member of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries or similar international body
  • Solid understanding of credit analysis fundamentals and risk identification
  • Knowledge of credit rating methodologies.
  • Highly numerate and analytical with a developed capability to interpret data and establish alternatives and solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to influence others and build collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders across the business
