Responsibilities

As a member of Catastrophe Modelling Team, the key responsibility is to provide and manage the exposure analysis used for use in underwriting and strategic decision-making.
  • Produce Monthly management exposure reports for the roll-up of the current live portfolios including movements and trends across 4 lines of business.
  • Monitor and manage the exposures in specific areas on both a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Complete event response following reporting potential losses to the business.
  • Work closely with the underwriting teams, actuaries and capital teams to provide value add analysis in support of the underwriters.
  • Enhancing the processes for managing and pricing exposure analysis (including documentation) to gain efficiencies.
  • Contribute and follow the company's Exposure Management procedures and assist others in doing so.
  • Provide training and workflow management of junior analysts to assist in reinsurance modelling and other areas of catastrophe modelling.
  • Complete regulatory and coporporate returns in a timely manner.
  • Generate value add insights into WRB Exposure Management projects.
  • Stay abreast of exposure management best practice and emerging trends.
  • Ad hoc reporting requests from the businesses.
  • Peer review of other team members work.
