Job Description Reporting to the Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, your role will be to : Analyze and evaluate acquisition files, in collaboration with the company's various departments; Understand the business sector and formulate the business model of target companies in order to identify their strategic value for Industrial Alliance; Conduct rigorous financial analyses of acquisition opportunities; Prepare presentations of acquisition opportunities to the company's Board of Directors; Coordinate due diligence reviews of acquisition opportunities; Work with various experts (lawyers, tax specialists, accountants, partners and other parties to transactions) to bring acquisition opportunities to a successful conclusion; Participate in the transaction negotiation process and follow-up on completed transactions; Draft confidentiality agreements and letters of intent; Review draft purchase/sale agreements; Prepare preliminary integration plans to ensure knowledge transfer of files to the integration manager. Participate in insurance-related acquisitions in Canada and the United States. Ensure sound management of the various financial models used to analyze and evaluate acquisition files. Ensure effective governance of our financial models Do your peers recognize you for your analytical skills and rigorous work ethic? Profile required: Bachelor's degree in actuarial science and at least 8 to 10 years' relevant experience FCIA or FSA Experience and expertise in financial analysis and modeling Experience in mergers and acquisitions an asset Knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry under IFRS 17 an asset Excellent French and English language skills, both oral and written, due to frequent interaction with English and French-speaking partners across Canada.
