Job Category Actuarial Compensation Overview The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. Salary Range $127,900.00 - $211,100.00 Target Openings 1 What Is the Opportunity? Business Insurance is seeking a motivated, technically minded, and innovative individual to join our growing Cross-Line Initiatives Actuarial Product team supporting Pricing and Data Capabilities. This newly created role will provide valuable resource as we invest in actuarial pricing tools and data to streamline processes, enhance the speed and quality of product delivery, and deliver granular analytical insights with velocity. This individual will work across Actuarial Product to identify areas of improvement in foundational capabilities with additional goals of creating efficient and more consistent processes across lines. Ideal candidates will have strong critical thinking skills, an innovative and creative mindset, familiarity with actuarial pricing processes like batch rating, a strong technical background, and the ability to drive projects forward independently. Specific responsibilities include: • Batch Rating: Support the Actuarial & Product Tools workstream with a current focus on optimizing batch rating (disruption/restatement capabilities for filed and non-filed rating algorithms). • Actuarial Data: Partner with the A&R Data Engineering team and Data and Analytics Value Stream to modernize and create common and consistent data for pricing functions and needs across Product. • Process Modernization: Partner across pricing functions on modernizing and creating common tools and templates across lines for profitability and actuarial analysis. Examples include disruption analysis tools, headroom analysis, post monitoring tools, etc. • Benchmark Technology: Collaborate across lines and with technology partners on account level benchmark tools with a focus on cross-line enhancements. • Regulatory Support: Support the Product Currency & Filing workstream to optimize the end-to-end process for delivering rate changes. Support rate development team as needed for cross-line indication enhancements.
