Description
Job Objective / Purpose: The Regulatory Officer is tasked to ensure that Flexicare HMO's license, products and services meet the requirements of the Insurance Commission, other regulating bodies, and overall company policies. This role will be hired under Health Delivery System, Inc. (HDSI) - a subsidiary of RelianceUnited. Duties and Responsibilities: Stay updated with the Insurance Commission's (IC) and other regulating bodies compliance requirements and relevant industry developments. Monitor and interpret IC Circular Letters pertaining to regulations on product approval, regulatory requirements, reports and other matters related to HMO. Propose recommendations to reduce or eliminate insurance compliance risks Prepare and submit regulatory requirements in a timely manner to ensure compliance with IC and other regulating bodies (if any). Assist with the preparation and submission of supplemental reports to the Actuarial Consultant to finalize the annual AVR report. Prepare and submit reports to the RCI Compliance Team, as needed. Works proactively with the Compliance Team and Actuarial Consultant to ensure that company, IC and other regulating body requirements are followed. Liaise with various internal teams, different divisions of IC and/or regulatory offices and Actuarial Consultant to address relevant concerns. Conduct a market study on competitors' products and services to gain better understanding on how best Flexicare can position in the market. Background and Qualifications: Educational Background Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in any field preferably in business, statistics Training and Experience Prior experience in compliance roles within the HMO or insurance industry is preferred. Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements Ability to do on-site visits and extend beyond company operating hours when needed. Others Good communication and critical thinking skills Ability to handle multiple tasks, in a timely manner, on a continual basis under strict deadlines. Strong planning, organization, and follow-up skills.
