Job Description

The Non-Life Legal Entity & Solvency II team has responsibility for Group and legal entities within the Group. It provides actuarial oversight, constructive challenge and support, in addition to fulfilling its required regulatory responsibilities.

As part of the team your key responsibility will be IFRS17. This includes:
  • Delivering quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
  • Working closely with Finance to ensure the efficient production of inputs to quarterly and annual IFRS17 financial statements.
  • Contribute to the continued enhancement of the IFRS17 actuarial environment.
  • Maintaining documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Supporting the team in its work for ad hoc projects, such as responding to requests from the regulator.

You will in addition, as part of the wider Legal Entity & Solvency II team, be provided with the opportunity to provide assistance on other Group related tasks including:
  • Calculation of the Solvency II Technical Provisions and Non-Life Underwriting Risk SCR
  • Quarterly reporting to relevant committees and to Group
  • Annual Actuarial Function opinions (Technical Provisions, Underwriting, Reinsurance and ORSA)
  • Support the team in it's work for ad hoc projects


Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Nearly or Newly Qualified Non-Life Actuary.
  • Effective communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within prescribed deadlines.
  • Strong motivation, team-orientation, adaptability & problem solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and translate new ideas into effective business solutions.
  • Advance proficiency in data analytics and strong MS Office skills
