The Underwriter function is meant to be a partner to the other Commercial Lines within AIG, offering support, expertise, and partnership. The existing diversity of the business portfolio demands from the underwriter role specialized expertise in the different products. The underwriting team works with the Actuarial, Distribution and Claims Teams to provide quotations that can be translated into profitable accounts. About the role What you need to know: The primary purpose of the job is to analyze, quote and negotiate Marine business complying with the Company guidelines, risk appetite and internal procedures to bring profitable business to the company. Administrate and renew existing portfolio by collecting and analyzing data from the claims, actuarial, multinational and distribution divisions.
