The purpose of the Senior Actuary, Enterprise Analytics is to oversee the development and deployment of advanced analytical services across the enterprise. Objectives of this position are to improve overall client service quality, increase efficiency and grow revenue by developing enterprise solutions, leading teammates, and providing advice to customers. This position will also provide support and guidance for the development and deployment of current and future capabilities into local markets based on enterprise objectives.

Essential Duties and Functions:

The Senior Actuary, Enterprise Analytics will support the business by leading the development of analytics solutions for use by teammates, customers, and other key business partners. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Support senior leadership in the overall development and execution of the analytics strategy for employee benefits.
  • Lead the development of advanced processes, tools, and templates for improved service efficiency and quality.
    • Identify analytical needs and areas for operational improvements across the EB enterprise.
    • Partner with technology solutions and other business resource centers for core and advanced service solution deployment.
    • Serve as an actuarial resource and expert for quality assurance, peer review and overall adherence to best practices.
    • Assist in the oversight and management of 3rd party analytics solutions, as required.
  • Develop next-generation analytics, capabilities, and expertise.
    • Collaborate with Technology Solutions, EB businesses and other B&B entities in support on overall Retail analytics strategy.
    • Support market segment specific capabilities for revenue growth.
    • Develop and partner with other subject matter specialists for thought leadership and product development (e.g., Population Health, non-medical, Pharmacy, etc.).
  • Provide actuarial expertise and advice directly to key customers and prospects, as needed.
    • Partner with offices and teammates to optimize service.
    • Assist with new business and prospecting efforts as needed.
  • Manage and lead regional Senior Directors in support of a region or territory, as needed.
    • Lead a team of analytics teammates in various locations supported by enterprise tools and processes.
    • Ensure that regional support model meets objectives.
  • Assist with teammate recruiting and skill development in local offices, as needed.
  • Assist with training and development of financial services teammates and advancing knowledge and expertise across the enterprise.

Required:
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience. Advanced financial, actuarial, or underwriting skills are necessary.
• FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) designation with 10+ years of consulting experience working directly with customers and clients.
• Strong technical knowledge of common applications, technology, and tools for data processing and presentations.
• 10+ years progressive experience in insurance industry.
• Proficient in common computer programs and applications such as well as Microsoft Office Suite, and insurance company proprietary software.
• Comfortable working in matrix organization with an emphasis on working with enterprise leadership and local offices and teammates.
• Comfortable working in remote and hybrid position with multiple office locations.

Preferred:
• 10+ years' experience in leadership.
