What You Will Do at ODM: Office: Fiscal Operations Bureau: Budget Classification: Health Services Policy Analyst, PN 20099887 Job Overview: The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an analytical professional to be a part of our Econometrics and Forecasting Section. A Medicaid Economic Analyst will be responsible for the following: helping support the Medicaid budget forecast working with Policy and Budget staff to cost out proposed policy changes incorporating the impact of policy changes into the budget model at the level of Medicaid eligibility group (e.g., people receiving Long Term Care Services and Support) and service category (e.g., expenditures for behavioral health services) linking budget management software to the Medicaid budget forecast assisting in the development of dashboards and reports based on the budget forecast and ODM policies including those being developed under Next Generation of Ohio Medicaid Managed Care model What's in it for you: At the State of Ohio, we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans. Qualifications Completion of undergraduate core coursework & 12 mos. exp. in one of following: health services administration, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, public administration, allied health sciences, nursing, economics, public health, or comparable field; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in research methodology, measurement & testing, analysis of variance & survey sampling; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in use of computer programs/applications used for spreadsheets, statistical analysis & graphics presentation & word processing; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in multiple regression or multivariate analysis. -Or completion of graduate core coursework in health services administration, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, public administration, allied health sciences, nursing, economics or comparable field; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in research methodology, measurement & testing, analysis of variance & survey sampling; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in use of computer programs/applications used for spreadsheets, statistical analysis & graphics presentation & word processing; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in multiple regression or multivariate analysis. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
