We are looking for a Senior Risk Manager (m/f/d), based in Munich. Your Team We are an international team of experts from various backgrounds (underwriting, risk management, actuarial, controlling) that focuses on the full universe of topics around underwriting risk & governance and reinsurance credit risk management. The Impact You Will HaveReporting to the Head of Underwriting Risk and Governance, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating risk management and control activities. This includes managing underwriting risks, leading risk identification meetings, defining and prioritizing actions required to mitigate risks in close collaboration with the business, supporting the business in managing their risks. Being part of the Risk Management team offers great possibilities to contribute to the strategy of the company, balancing risks and performance and participating in projects that shape our company. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: Ensure that underwriting and reinsurance credit risks are effectively managed in terms of identification, measurement and setting of an adequate risk appetite.Interactions with the business, in particular the underwriting and technical functions, on risk steering topics including derivation of mitigation actions.Actively be involved in driving a strong underwriting governance processDrive regular enhancement of processes and addressing of new requirements (regulatory, Group-driven, markets, products etc.)Provide input into strategic decision-making, e.g. Strategic Dialogue, Planning Dialogue, business cases.Prepare standard and ad-hoc crisp and action-oriented management reports to the according business functions and to the top management. What You'll Bring to the Role: Degree in Actuarial, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or equivalentAbout 5 years of professional experience in P&C Insurance or ReinsuranceAbout 3 to 5 years of experience in Risk ManagementSolid understanding of reinsurance market and captive businessExcellent skills in handling qualitative and quantitative risk assessmentKnowledge of different credit risk mitigation techniques (e.g. different types of collateralization, security clauses)Excellent communication and presentation skillsOutstanding analytical and problem solving skillsSolid project steering skillsExcellent inter-cultural skills with the ability to work in an international environmentFluent English skills (in spoken and written) 46127 \| Risk Management \| Professional \| Allianz Commercial \| Full-Time \| Permanent What's in it for you?
