We are looking to appoint a leader for our revamped Key Accounts Europe (KAE) team, targeting important growth opportunities across the European markets. Building on a platform of in force relationships and some market contacts, you will lead the team (currently 5 FTE) as it hones and markets our proposition for European life insurers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building our network of life office clients, brokers, and advisors to access opportunities at the earliest time.
  • Managing the deal development process including careful management of internal stakeholders and approvers.
  • Securing support from PartnerRe senior management and other stakeholders for business opportunities.
  • Successfully onboarding won business, working closely with accounts, legal, claims and underwriting.
  • Working closely with the dedicated pricing team to ensure product features, market and client specificities are fully understood and priced appropriately.
  • Managing your in-force portfolio to maintain profitability and to ensure it runs smoothly.

Qualifications

About you:

You must be a commercially astute individual capable of managing directly controlled resources and leveraging wider company resources to deliver an ambitious vision. You are strategic and tactical and can detect when to pivot to deliver on objectives. You bring people with you. Moreover, you ideally have the following background and skills:
  • A quantitative background (qualified actuary, analyst, economist) with a record of accomplishment in or supporting business development.
  • Extensive experience of reinsurance across multiple markets, and in many structures, Variety here is key. A particular strength here is the use of reinsurance as a financial management tool. Knowledge of structuring is a bonus.
  • Effective communicator with top management at clients as well as with internal stakeholders.
