The opportunity:

We have an opportunity available for an Actuarial Analyst - IFRS 17 Reporting to join our broader Finance and Actuarial team, based in either Melbourne or Sydney. Within this role you will contribute to the IFRS 17 Reporting team meeting its responsibilities for all actuarial reporting for AIA Australia's business.

To do this successfully you will:
• Assist in the analysis and communications of IFRS17 result
• Provide reinsurance and pricing support
• Assist in the assumption change financial impact communication
• Work on claims, lapse and other drivers of profit
• Work as part of the team on forecasting and strategic planning
• Preparation of quarterly Board reports and annual reporting including the Financial Condition Report
• Identification and implementation of process efficiencies to facilitate improved analysis and business support
• Any other tasks or responsibilities assigned from time to time by management

Successful applications will demonstrate:
• Currently studying Part 2 or Part 3 actuarial subjects from the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, or similar professional body
• Experience working in valuation in Australian life insurance, preferably Retail Insurance
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Detailed knowledge of actuarial processes such as valuation, pricing and experience investigations
• Extensive experience in Excel and preferably experience in Prophet
• Knowledge of the Australian life insurance, life prudential standards, tax and legislation.
