Job Summary:

Finance Team member who supports reconciliation between OFIN and Tableau. Assist to monitor the daily interface files from various systems to Tableau and month end Tableau reconciliation. Guide Finance team on IFRS17 system related matters. Assist Finance Operations users on account reconciliation issues. Investigate differences between OFIN and Tableau and raising/posting manual journals and adjustments for variances detected during reconciliation.

Job Description:

  • Assist in participating in user requirement gatherings for the systems.
  • Assist in liaising with developers or IT to set up/correct coding conventions for Tableau.
  • Mapping of Tableau to reconcile with OFIN.
  • Perform user acceptance testing to verify accounting entries and flow from core systems to Tableau.
  • Work with IT personnel to address any issues, monitor and test released defects, and follow up.
  • Assist in ensuring all interface data from core systems to and from Tableau are smooth and accurate in accounting entries.
  • Maintain and administer finance tables and tagging of cash flows so each business event is mapped to Tableau.
  • Perform system reconciliations and raise journals when necessary.
  • Raise necessary forms, change requests, and seek approval for any new coding/mapping.
  • Attend to any system queries and provide any required information from Tableau.
  • Assist in developing Finance's system manual and regularly review and update it.
  • Any other tasks as required by superiors.


Job Specification:

  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Actuarial/ Insurance/ Takaful discipline or professional qualification in a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity in an Insurance/Takaful company.
  • Sense of urgency.
  • Good communication skills - written & verbal.
  • Good coordination skills.
  • Able to deliver within tight timelines.
  • Team player.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Result-driven.
  • Familiar with a computerised accounting environment.
  • IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.
